UC and SEMO are also offering ACT Prep Classes. For information on those classes check in the guidance office.

The boys basketball team will be hosting a Support all cancer game on Feb 6 against Carterville. We will be hosting several fundraisers throughout the week. You can buy a hat license or Pajama license at the AJ doors. The cost is $1.00 for each license. Tuesday pj day and Friday hat day.

 Illinois Lumber and Material Dealers Association Educational Foundation Academic Scholarships – Awarded to selected students pursuing industry-related course work at colleges and universities. These scholarships will assist and encourage qualified students to further or continue their interest in selecting the lumber and building materials field as a career. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline date: by March 16, 2015.

Applications for the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) Class for the 2015-2016 school year are available in the guidance office. This class is open to next year's juniors and seniors and is designed to utilize partnerships that provide an overview of business development and processes. Students visit area businesses, learn from guest speakers, participate in a class businesses, write businesses plans, and start and operate their own businesses. For additional info and application check in the guidance office. Applications are due March 13.

Illinois Division Of Sons Of Confederate Veterans- Illinois Society, Military Order of Stars and Bars Scholarship- $1,000 scholarship; students must be a graduating senior enrolling in the fall at a community college or university; must be a descendant of a male who served honorably in the army, navy, judicial, executive, or civil service of the Confederate State of America; 500 word essay required. For more info check in the guidance office. Deadline date: postmarked prior to March 15, 2015.

2015 future healthcare hero award- offered by South East Illinois Area Health Education Center this award is for ant SENIOR with an interest in a career in the health care field. Applications must have at least a 2.5 GPA. For more info and an  application, check in the guidance office. Deadline date: March 13, 2015.

The FBLA Club will be sponsoring their yearly Fundraiser for March of Dimes Crush for my Crush.  Crush soda will be sold for $1.00 Dollar.  Flavors include Grape Secret Admirer, Orange is Friend, and Strawberry is Love.  Purchase your Hearts from FBLA Members.  Hearts can be redeemed on Friday the 13th.   They will go on Sale February 3rd.

The Culinary arts club will be having their 4th annual Chocolate Covered Strawberry Sale starting February 3rd and running thru the 13th.  To order see any Culinary Arts Student or see Mrs. Cleghorn.  Cost is $1.00  Funds will go towards Iron Chef Contest.

Pepsi Mid America is sponsoring a football toss at the Anna Kroger store on Jan 29th from 4-8pm Come on out to the Anna Kroger and support the Anna-Jonesboro High School Athletic program. All the money collected will be donated back to the high school's athletics  department. The cost is $1.00 per throw, participants that are successful in the football toss will be entered to win a Madden 15 video game. One winner will be drawn at the end of the evening.
